James Kellis’ Art Blog is born

This is the first post on what I plan to be a space for ongoing documentation of my artistic trajectory.

It will be a place to share with my extended community, a glimpse of my artistic life; ongoing projects, process documentation, upcoming releases and events, and some of the creative community and environment that inspire me, and uplift me as a working artistic talent.

This will be a place to explore and discuss the art and artists who influence me; both within my community, and across space and time. River Arts District, Asheville, Appalachia, America, the World, History, and the distant corners of infinity.

I’ll also announce music releases, as I consider my music project an extension of my creative world. The music vehicle is Pangs Like Fangs; as of now it’s a solo electronic project, but collaboration is in the works. Visit pangslikefangs.bandcamp.com if you like hard industrial electronic music.

Maybe I’ll talk about film and television. Maybe I’ll talk about (vegan) food. I might even discuss geopolitics, if we’re lucky. This here site is the James Kellis show, and I hope to captivate and move something in you.

I massively appreciate everyone who’s ever believed in my potential.

So I want to give back and offer accountability, by sharing a candid look at what I’m up to.
